Satoshi Ranks

DISCOVERY.

I was approached by a client who wanted to create a coin ranking marketplace and gamify it by allowing users to vote with their Satoshis.

The idea is to put your money where your mouth is, so if you feel really confident about a coin you would vote on certain parameters with your Satoshis.

The marketplace also fed a community in which you are able to discuss your views on your rankings with other members.

The main users of this application would be the Rankers, the Sponsors and Admin.

USER INTERFACE DESIGN.

For the landing page design I chose to put the leaderboard as an example along with the pitch. Underneath this I created some illustrations portaying what the application does to the community.

The landing page main goals are to get users to sign up and explain to them how it works.

For the application itself I needed to create a modern clean look with gamifying elements. I played with flat colors and icons to portray what each category meant.

For the font I chose to work with Avenir in its different weights.

PROTOTYPE AND IMPLEMENTATION.

This prototype was created using Sketch and Invision. These tools allowed us to communicate and collaborate with the rest of the team.

The application runs on Ruby on Rails and the frontend was implemented using SLIM. All payments are handled by the Lightning Network.
